Description: Walker Bay in the Western Cape province of South Africa offers a breathtaking golden sea surface at sunset. This region is famous for its excellent whale watching opportunities, especially from June to November. Humpback whales and Southern right whales can be observed from land. During my numerous visits to this area, the morning calls of the whales became an unforgettable experience. They came so close to the rocky coast that I could even watch them from my room. The coast and hinterland of Walker Bay boast a diverse fauna and flora that will captivate every nature enthusiast. Another highlight are the spectacular sunsets that can be regularly admired here.
