Description: The Great Sphinx of Giza is a fascinating and enigmatic monument in Egypt. Located approximately 350 meters from the Cheops Pyramid, it features the body of a reclining lion with the head of a human. For over 4000 years, the Sphinx has stood guard in the desert, gazing towards the sunrise in the east. Measuring about 73.5 meters in length and 20 meters in height, it is a truly impressive structure. Carved from the yellowish limestone of the Giza Plateau, the Sphinx lies to the east of the Chephren Pyramid. Despite extensive research, the true origins of the Sphinx remain shrouded in mystery, with speculations pointing to either Cheops or Chephren as its possible creators.
