Description: In Richards Bay Harbor, there is an impressive 12-meter-high concrete block at the North Breakwater. The stone pitching, which is 3.0 meters above northwest, withstands the waves. Only after pouring the 8.0 meters wide and 2.40 meters thick concrete crown can the Manitowoc 4600 advance. The heavy crane carries the steel formwork to install the concrete. The design allows the crane to drive directly onto the freshly poured block.
