Description: The Southern Right Whale, also known as the Southern Black Right Whale or Eubalaena australis, displays its impressive fluke above the water surface. These majestic marine creatures belong to the Balaenidae family and can reach lengths of up to 18 meters. They mainly feed on krill and other small crustaceans. Southern Right Whales are found in the waters around the South Pole and in regions like South Africa, South America, and New Zealand. Due to extensive hunting, they are critically endangered with drastically reduced populations.
