Description: The Southern Right Whale, also known as Eubalaena australis, is a fascinating creature that can be seen in the immediate vicinity of the coast of Gansbaai in South Africa. These majestic beings belong to the Balaenidae family and can reach an impressive length of up to 18 meters. They mainly feed on krill and other small crustaceans and are native to the waters around the South Pole. Despite their imposing appearance, they have been heavily depleted in the past and are now an endangered species in urgent need of protection.
