Description: The Cape Agulhas Lighthouse in the Overberg District, Western Cape, South Africa, signifies the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Built in 1848, it remains operational to this day. Its beacon stretches up to 60 kilometers, guiding ships along their route. Despite these efforts, the cape, also referred to as the 'Cape of Needles', has posed a challenge to many vessels, including the Meisho Maru 38 on November 16, 1982.
