Description: The Elongate tang, also known as the Schwarzdorn Doktorfisch or Acanthurus mata, is a fascinating marine creature that inhabits the waters of Beqa Lagoon off the coast of Vitu Levu in Fiji. With an impressive length of up to 50 cm, it dwells at depths of up to 45 meters. Unlike many of its counterparts, this surgeonfish does not feed on algae but roams the open water in search of zooplankton. Its graceful appearance and elegant swimming style make it a captivating subject for underwater photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.
