Description: The Common bigeye, also known as Gewoehnlicher Großaugenbarsch (Priacanthus hamrur), is a striking fish found in small schools under light-protected coral overhangs in the Red Sea. These fish leave their shelter at sunset to hunt small fish or crustaceans, returning safely to their protective areas in the morning. With their large eyes, they are particularly active at night and have excellent vision. This fascinating behavior makes them a popular subject for underwater photographers.
