Description: The Scissortail Sergeant, also known as the Scherenschwanz-Sergeant or scientifically Abudefduf sexfasciatus, is a colorful fish that inhabits the clear waters of Beqa Lagoon off the coast of Vitu Levu in Fiji. This species lives in the upper areas of the coral reef at depths of 1 to 20 meters and often forms impressive schools. Measuring up to 14 cm in length, it is one of the smaller reef fish, but its vibrant colors and social behavior make it a popular subject for underwater photographers.
