Description: The brown bears, also known as Ursus arctos horribilis, were observed fishing for salmon early in the morning at Brooks River in Alaska. The mother bear and her cub were very successful and managed to catch an impressive amount of fish. When a larger bear arrived, they retreated and rested on the riverbank in the warm morning sunlight.
