Description: A majestic Great White Shark, also known as the White Pointer, or Carcharodon carcharias, cruises the waters off the coast of Gansbaai and Dyer Island in the Western Cape, South Africa. Surrounded by a rich diversity of marine life including African penguins, cormorants, and a large colony of South African fur seals, the Great White Shark is a fearsome predator that often preys near the water's surface.
