Description: The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is a fascinating and fearsome marine creature that inhabits the waters off the coast of South Africa near Gansbaai and Dyer Island. Here, in the waters of the Western Cape, this top predator majestically crosses the greenish water. Sun rays penetrate deep, creating a unique underwater atmosphere. The Great White Shark, a member of the mako shark family, impresses with its large gill slits and long pectoral fins. Its notorious jaws with sharp triangular teeth in the upper jaw and pinpointed teeth in the lower jaw make it a dangerous hunter in the waters around Geyser Rock and Dyer Island.
