Measuring up to three meters in length and growing slowly, the Lemon Shark is a majestic sight. It reaches sexual maturity only after 12-15 years and has a low reproduction rate. Its main diet consists of bony fish and mollusks, but it also preys on small sharks, rays, and seabirds. The Lemon Shark is primarily nocturnal, favoring coastal areas and shallow waters. It can survive briefly in freshwater, posing a potential threat to humans.
