Description: A fascinating sight awaits the viewers: A baby Great White Shark, scientifically known as Carcharodon carcharias, swims just a few days after its birth off the coast of Gansbaai in South Africa. These small sharks are fully developed at birth and have to fend for themselves from the very beginning. Their diet mainly consists of small fish and squids. These young animals are extremely cautious and quickly flee if an adult shark appears. Only a few manage to reach adulthood.
