Description: The Baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) swims curiously near the water surface, exploring its surroundings. This little shark is extremely cautious and quickly disappears into the vastness of the ocean. Great White Sharks are fully developed at birth and must survive independently from the start. They primarily feed on smaller fish and squids. Pups like this one are very shy and flee immediately when an adult shark appears. Only a few pups make it to adulthood.
