Baby great white shark in the light-flooded water

Description: The baby great white shark, scientifically known as Carcharodon carcharias, is seen moving just below the sea surface six sea miles off the coast of Gansbaai, near Dyer Island and Gyser Rock. These young sharks, measuring between 1.10 and 1.60 meters, are already fully developed. They feed on smaller fish and squids. Despite their cautious nature, they quickly disappear when an adult shark appears. Only a few manage to reach adulthood.
