Description: The breathtaking Brooks River Falls in Katmai National Park in Alaska are the setting for a spectacular natural phenomenon: salmon jumping at the waterfall. The nearly two-meter-high waterfall is the final obstacle that the salmon must overcome to reach their spawning grounds. However, even here, many dangers await the exhausted salmon. Once they overcome this last barrier, they have reached their goal and fulfill their purpose before dying after spawning.
