Description: The silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus) is an imposing species that captivates divers worldwide. With its distinctive white fin tips and edges, this gray shark is unmistakable. It can grow up to 300 cm in length and mainly feeds on fish and rays. The fascinating silvertip sharks can be found both near the water surface and at depths of up to 800 m. Especially at the Shark Reef in the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji, divers can regularly encounter these impressive marine creatures.
