Description: The gray reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) is a fascinating species of shark that calls Shark Reef off the coast of Viti Levu in the waters of Fiji its home. With its gray base color and the distinctive black trim on its tail fin, it is a majestic creature of the seas. These predators can grow up to about 250 cm in length and primarily feed on reef fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans. Divers often have the privilege of witnessing the grace and power of these animals up close as they elegantly glide through the clear waters.
