Description: The whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus) is a fascinating species of shark that inhabits the blue waters of the South Pacific. With a maximum length of about 200 cm and a grey-brown coloration, it is easily recognizable. The white tips on the dorsal fin and tail fin are distinctive. Whitetip reef sharks primarily feed on bony fish living on the reef and are an impressive subject for underwater photography.
