Description: The Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is a stunning marine creature that inhabits the warm waters of the South Pacific. With a maximum length of 160 cm and a grey-brown base color, this shark is a fascinating sight. Its distinctive black fin tips and the striking black edge on the tail fin make it easily recognizable. The Blacktip Reef Shark prefers shallow waters and is often found near coral reefs. Particularly at Shark Reef, this species of shark is frequently encountered, where it gracefully glides above the colorful coral.
