Description: The Tawny nurse shark (Nebrius ferrugineus) is a fascinating inhabitant of the Shark Reef in Fiji. Divers regularly observe these calm and graceful sharks, elegantly gliding over the seabed. With an average size of 200 to 250 cm, they feed on a variety of marine creatures, including crabs, squids, corals, sea urchins, and fish. Their brown coloration, adapted to the seabed, makes them perfectly camouflaged in their environment.
