Red Mangroves in the Qara-ni-Qio River after heavy rain

Description: The red mangroves (Rhizophora mangle L.) in the Qara-ni-Qio River revealed their beauty after a heavy rainfall. These trees and shrubs, reaching up to 30 meters in height, are uniquely adapted to the conditions of salty coastlines and brackish river mouths. They provide a crucial habitat for various marine species and serve as nurseries for many fish. Mangroves are endangered, with an estimated 50 percent of global mangrove forests already destroyed.
