Description: The rainforest on Viti Levu, Fiji, extends densely to the banks of the Navua River. Approximately 40 percent of Fiji's land area, especially the rain-rich southeastern areas, are covered with lush rainforest. Here, a variety of plants thrive, including orchids, hibiscus, bamboo, ferns, mangroves, and palms. The rainforest is home to an incredible diversity of life forms, including the majority of the world's climbing plants.
