Description: The rainforest on the island of Viti Levu in Fiji is a true natural gem. Approximately 40 percent of Fiji's land area is covered by lush rainforest, especially on the rainy southeastern side. Here, a variety of plants thrive including orchids, hibiscus, bamboo, ferns, mangroves, and palms. The rainforest is home to an incredible diversity of life forms and is one of the most biologically complex places on Earth. It is the habitat for countless species of climbing plants that flourish in this unique environment.
