The impressive Shell Ginger and its magnificent inflorescence (00018001)
Description: The Shell Ginger, scientifically known as Alpinia zerumbet, is an impressive plant that can grow up to three meters in height. Particularly striking are the up to 40 centimeters long inflorescences, which are beautiful to behold. The drooping flower shoots bear waxy buds, from which eventually sprout the white flowers with a yellow lip area. The ends of the flowers are often colored in a delicate pink or red. A fascinating wonder of nature!
