Description: The Fiji Crested Iguana, scientifically known as Brachylophus vitiensis or vokai, vokai votovoto, is a fascinating lizard that is found exclusively on the islands of the Fiji group. This creature was only discovered in 1979 and is critically endangered. The Fiji Crested Iguana is a protected species (Critically Endangered under IUCN) and is fighting for survival. It prefers rocky habitats and mainly feeds on leaves. Its striking appearance and rare occurrence make it a sought-after subject for nature enthusiasts and photographers.
