Description: Richards Bay Harbour in Natal, South Africa, is the setting for an impressive warning of approaching storms. At the North Breakwater, massive swell waves meet the coast, swelling to an imposing height. These breakers are among the strongest worldwide and are present year-round. To protect the concrete crown from erosion by the raging waves, massive stones are placed using a wheel loader. Dolosse serve as an additional protective measure.
