Description: The young Kelp gull, also known as the Dominican gull (Larus dominicanus), displays impressive flying skills as it approaches for landing on Dyer Island, South Africa. With its yellow beak and a distinctive red spot on the lower mandible, it is one of the larger gull species. These predatory seabirds primarily breed on the Antarctic Peninsula and feed mainly on limpets.
