Description: The Swift terns, also known as Sterna bergii, can be found all year round on the islands off the coast of South Africa. They often nest together with Hartlaub's gulls, as seen here on Dyer Island. The Swift tern primarily feeds on small fish, crustaceans, and mollusks that it hunts for in coastal waters.
