Description: The Swift Terns, also known as Eilseeschwalbe or Sterna bergii, can be found all year round on the islands off the coast of South Africa. They often nest alongside Hartlaub's Gulls, as seen here on Dyer Island. These graceful birds primarily feed on small fish, crustaceans, and mollusks that they hunt in coastal waters.
