Description: White terns, also known as Feenseeschwalben or Gygis alba rothchildi, are elegant birds native to the Midway Islands. Their snow-white feathers and large, black-rimmed eyes give them a fairy-tale appearance. These delicate birds soar majestically against the deep blue sky and skillfully hunt for fish over the ocean.
