Description: The Red Sea Bannerfish (Heniochus intermedius) is a fascinating species belonging to the butterflyfish family, native to the Red Sea. These diurnal fish primarily feed on zooplankton and are often seen in pairs in the reef during the late afternoon. A distinctive feature is their yellow pectoral fins, tail fin, anal fin, and the posterior soft-rayed portion of the dorsal fin. Adult Red Sea Bannerfish can grow up to 20 cm in length.
