Description: The Red Sea Bannerfish (Heniochus intermedius) belongs to the family of butterflyfish and is active during the day. This species feeds on zooplankton and is often seen in pairs in the reef, especially in the late afternoon. The yellow pectoral fins, tail fin, anal fin, and the posterior soft-rayed portion of the dorsal fin are distinctive features of the Red Sea Bannerfish, which can grow up to 20 cm in length.
