Description: The Red Sea Bannerfish (Heniochus intermedius) is a stunning species from the butterflyfish family. This fascinating creature is diurnal and feeds on zooplankton. Typically, the Red Sea Bannerfish can be seen in pairs in the reef during late afternoon. Its pectoral fins, tail fin, anal fin, and the posterior soft-rayed portion of the dorsal fin are bright yellow. With a maximum length of up to 20 cm, it is a majestic presence in the waters of the Red Sea.
