Description: The Red Sea Bannerfish (Heniochus intermedius) is a fascinating species from the butterflyfish family, native to the Red Sea. This diurnal fish feeds on zooplankton and is often seen in pairs in the reef, especially in the late afternoon. The yellow coloration on its pectoral fins, tail fin, anal fin, and the posterior soft-rayed portion of the dorsal fin makes the Red Sea Bannerfish a colorful sight. It can reach a maximum length of up to 20 cm.
