Common bigeye in the Red Sea

Description: The Common bigeye, also known as Gewöhnlicher Großaugenbarsch or scientifically Priacanthus hamrur, is a fascinating fish found in small schools under light-protected coral overhangs in the Red Sea. These fish leave their hiding spots at sunset to hunt for small fish or crustaceans, returning to their shelters in the morning. With their large eyes, they are excellent night hunters and have great vision in darkness.
