Description: The Hartlaub´s gull (Larus hartlaubii) is a beautiful species that breeds on Dyer Island, located on the west coast of southern Africa. It shares this habitat with the Swift tern (Sterna bergii). The diet of the Hartlaub´s gull consists mainly of invertebrates and small fish, caught through plunge diving.
