Description: The Laysan albatrosses, scientifically known as Phoebastria immutabilis, are fascinating seabirds that soar majestically over the ocean. Located on the Midway Atoll, part of the Hawaiian Islands in the USA, is the largest breeding colony of these impressive albatrosses. They spend most of their lives in the air, where they are true flying artists. Their narrow, extremely long wings allow them to sail over the ocean for hours without flapping their wings. With a wingspan of 2.1 meters and a weight of 2.4 kg, they are impressive sights in the sky.
