Description: The Brown Noddy (Anous stolidus) is a dark-plumaged seabird from the tern family. Larger than the closely related Black Noddy, the Brown Noddy is a tropical seabird with a worldwide distribution, especially ranging from Hawaii to Australia in the Pacific Ocean. These colonial nesters usually prefer nesting in elevated situations on cliffs or in short trees or shrubs. Ground nesting is rare for them. Each breeding pair lays a single egg per breeding season.
