Description: The Brown Noddy (Anous stolidus) chicks are offspring of the Brown Noddy seabird, which is dark feathered and widespread in the Pacific. These tropical seabirds primarily feed on small fish and plankton, which they scoop up directly from the water's surface. Brown Noddy terns usually hunt together in flocks and nest in colonies on elevated spots on cliffs or in short trees or shrubs. The female lays a single egg per breeding season, which is vigorously protected from threats. The parents aggressively defend their chick against any perceived danger.
