Description: The Red-footed Booby, scientifically known as Sula sula, is a majestic seabird that calls Midway Atoll home. Approximately 750 pairs exclusively breed on the eastern island of the atoll. These beautiful birds are renowned for their impressive flying skills, where they venture far out to sea in search of fish and plunge into the water from great heights. Their black wingtips, bright blue bills, and striking red legs and feet make them a captivating sight.
