Description: The Red-footed Booby (Sula sula) is a fascinating seabird mainly found on Midway Atoll. These birds breed on Eastern Island, home to around 750 pairs. Red-footed Boobies are skilled hunters, traveling far out to sea in search of fish and plunging spectacularly from great heights into the water. Their appearance is stunning: with white bodies, black wingtips, blue bills, and bright red feet. An inappropriate name for such elegant birds.
