Description: The Red-footed Booby (Sula sula) is an elegant seabird native to the Midway Atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Approximately 750 pairs of these beautiful birds nest on Eastern Island. Red-footed Boobies are skilled hunters, often flying long distances in search of fish and diving from great heights into the sea. With their striking features such as the bright red legs and feet, blue bill, and black wingtips, they are truly impressive creatures. Despite their name suggesting clumsiness, they are actually masters of the skies and seas.
