Description: The Red-footed Booby, scientifically known as Sula sula, is an elegant seabird that hunts for prey over the Midway Atoll. Only about 750 pairs of these birds breed on Eastern Island. They are skilled hunters that fly far out to sea and plunge with great precision to catch their prey. Their bright red feet and legs create a striking contrast to their white plumage, making them a captivating sight in the sky.
