Description: The African Black Oystercatcher (Haematopus moquini) is an endangered bird species native to South Africa. With its striking black plumage and red bill, it is a fascinating sight. This bird species breeds between March and September and is critically endangered. Estimates suggest that there are less than 500 breeding pairs of this species. Protective measures are urgently needed to ensure their survival.
