Description: The Baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is showcased in all its glory. This young specimen, just a few days old, is swimming six sea miles off the coast of Gansbaai in South Africa. Great White Sharks are fully developed and self-sufficient from birth. Measuring 1.10 to 1.50 meters in length and weighing between 18 to 30 kilograms, they feed on small fish, rays, and squids. Despite their early maturity, Baby Great White Sharks must overcome numerous dangers to grow into formidable predators.
