Description: The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is the fastest land animal, capable of reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h. This seven-week-old cheetah cub bravely climbs a lying tree. The photo was taken at a private cheetah breeding station near Addo Elephant Park in South Africa. Cheetahs are an endangered species, with their habitat under threat due to human activities.
