Adorable young cheetah in the African wilderness (00016019)

Young Cheetah relaxing in the dry grass

Description: The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is one of Africa's most fascinating predators. This adorable young cheetah is soaking up the sun and resting in the dry grass. At just seven weeks old, it comes from a private cheetah breeding station near the Addo Elephant Park in South Africa. This breeding station takes great care of the animals with the goal of releasing them into the wild later on. Cheetahs are known as the fastest land animals, reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h. Unfortunately, they are endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, and conflicts with farmers. Witness the beauty and grace of this majestic creature.
