King Cheetah maintains his paw

Description: The King Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus jubatus) lovingly maintains his paw. This rare and majestic predator is nearly extinct in Asia and facing a serious threat in Africa. With its long legs, the cheetah is the fastest land mammal on Earth. The King Cheetah is distinguished by its unique coat variation, featuring larger black spots compared to its spotted counterpart. At the Hoedspruit Research & Breeding Centre in the Kapama Private Game Reserve, these fascinating animals are bred, cared for, and prepared for eventual release into the wild.
